Is The Compact, Multi-Purpose NOCO Genius Boost Pro GB150 UltraSafe Lithium Jump Starter Able To Deliver?
This appears to be one of those models that is out to do it all, rather than a one-trick powerful car battery jumper.
There are great promises over the power and ability to start a completely dead battery (20 times on one charge).
But there are other features like the USB connectivity to turn this into a power pack, the carry bag and the LED flash light. Does this all come together to create a tool that buyers are happy to use?
What benefits have buyers appreciated when testing out the capabilities of this NOCO GB150 Lithium Ion Jump Starter ?
One of terms that stands out in the product description for his NOCO charger is “mistake proof”, which leads to the idea that anyone can use this thing, no matter their automotive experience.
This ease of use is enhanced by the use of indicators on the front and safety features like the spark-proof and reverse polarity protection. Then there is the compact nature of this portable NOCO Genius Boost jump starter, something they sell to the consumer with enthusiasm right from the start.
The NOCO GB150 is compact enough to fit in the glove compartment, lightweight for portability. Some have marked it down for being heavier than expected, but there is no doubt that it is compact.
Also, this means that there is no sense that it is too flimsy or poorly made. This is also true of the clamps, which are a tougher metal rather than a cheap plastic.
What problems have buyers mentioned that may limit the appeal of this NOCO Genius Boost Pro GB150 Jump Starting device in any way?
The vast majority of buyers are happy with the features and performance that is offered here. However, there are a few that have marked it down for occasional issues and those that give very low marks because theirs failed to work at all.
In some cases this could simply come down to user error or faulty merchandise, as so many have no problem kick-starting their own vehicles and those of others, including snowploughs and four-wheeled drive models.
Some would like to see some improvements made with the quality of the case as the soft case isn’t quite tough enough to prevent damage or buttons being pressed in storage. Others would also like to see more USB port so they can charge more than one device at a time.
The minor nature of these comments show that it is difficult not to recommend this model for many reasons. There are those that struggle to get it to work, but they are in such a minority that this doesn’t appear to be the fault of the device.
Those that are able to get the performance they need are also impressed with the additional elements offered, such as the light, ease of use, strong clamps and compact size.
This proves that the NOCO jump starter really isn’t the one-trick pony of other brands. With a little more thought to the case and greater versatility on the USB charging, it could be a great product.
